Born in Goa, local boy Fulganco Cardozo looks set to make his Hero ISL bow with FC Goa in Hero ISL 2016. The powerful centre back has spent his entire career in Goa having begun his footballing education with SESA Football Academy in Sanquelim, Goa. He went back to represent Vasco SC, Sporting Goa, Salgaocar and Dempo in the Hero I-League. Cardozo also made his international debut for India in a 6-1 win against Laos in the 2009 AFC Asian Cup qualification. He marked his debut for the nation with a goal after coming off the bench. Last season he played five times for Chennaiyin FC and bagged a goal as well.
