Several big names missed out on Die Nationalelf’s squad.
Germany head coach Jurgen Klopp named a 24-member squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League 2026-27 group matches against Serbia and the Netherlands.
Die Nationalelf will take on Serbia at the Rajko Mitić Stadium in Belgrade on November 13. The next match will be against the Netherlands at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on November 16.
Klopp has made some interesting decisions ahead of his side’s final two group-stage clashes. While most of the squad’s regulars have been called up, some of Klopp’s selections have been questioned, including the likes of Niclas Füllkrug and Wael Mohya.
As expected, some big names have either been dropped from the Germany squad or missed out on a call-up. Let’s look at the five biggest names to miss out on the latest international squad.

| Sl No. | Player | Club |
| 1 | Deniz Undav | VfB Stuttgart |
| 2 | Kevin Schade | Brentford |
| 3 | Serge Gnabry | Bayern Munich |
| 4 | David Raum | RB Leipzig |
| 5 | Karim Adeyemi | Barcelona |
5. Deniz Undav

Deniz Undav was his nation’s hero during the FIFA World Cup 2026, scoring three goals. However, the VfB Stuttgart forward was dropped from the Germany squad before the September international window because of his poor club form.
The 30-year-old striker is yet to open his account in eight Bundesliga matches this season. His two goals have come in the UEFA Champions League and the DFB-Pokal. However, scoring twice in 14 matches across all competitions has not been enough to convince Klopp to recall him.
4. Kevin Schade

Kevin Schade has been in solid form for Brentford, scoring thrice in nine Premier League matches. The winger played a part in his nation’s opening UEFA Nations League matches. Despite impressing with his pace down the flanks and his trickery, Schade has been dropped from the latest squad. Instead, Klopp has called up Younes Ebnoutalib for the upcoming matches.

3. Serge Gnabry

Serge Gnabry is one of the biggest names absent from the latest Germany squad. The 31-year-old has impressed for Bayern Munich this season but suffered a serious left hamstring injury during Der Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund.
The veteran attacker is expected to be out for more than six weeks. As a result, he has failed to make the latest international squad and will have to wait to add to his 62 caps.
2. David Raum

The absence of David Raum from the latest squad is a perplexing one, with the RB Leipzig captain being a fixture at left-back for Die Nationalelf. He lost his starting place to Nathaniel Brown during the FIFA World Cup 2026, and now Klopp has dropped the 28-year-old, who has 40 international caps.
Bild reported that Klopp criticised Raum’s defensive contribution while explaining his omission. In his place, Brown and Maximilian Mittelstädt will vie for the left-back spot.
1. Karim Adeyemi

Karim Adeyemi’s absence from the latest squad is by far the biggest selection decision made by Klopp, despite the striker being part of the September window squad. Adeyemi has been in fine form for Barcelona, scoring four goals and registering three assists across all competitions.
Yet, Klopp has overlooked the former Borussia Dortmund winger, instead relying on young, unproven talents in the form of Lennart Karl, Tom Bischof, Said El Mala, and Wael Mohya.
Why is Karim Adeyemi not in Germany’s November squad?
Despite scoring four goals and providing three assists for Barcelona, Karim Adeyemi has been overlooked by head coach Jurgen Klopp.
