We have experience now, won't put pressure on ourselves- Sadio Mané
The former Southampton and Red Bull Salzburg forward is confident in his side’s charge for the title this season.
Liverpool are having an exceptionally good season and their top position in the Premier League explains it all. After going on a marvellous 20-game unbeaten run in the league, the Reds looked simply unstoppable with the way they were playing. Yet, their title rivals and defending champions Manchester City pulled off an upsetting victory against Jurgen Klopp’s men, ending their unbeaten streak.
However, that didn’t cause a setback for the Reds as they went on to win the next two games against Brighton and Hove Albion and Crystal Palace respectively, in order to maintain their four-point lead at the top of the table.
The deadly attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have once again lived up to their expectations and have in fact wreaked havoc on the pitch particularly against the minor opponents in the league. Of course, they have received constant support from the back by Virgil van Dijk and Andrew Robertson.
Liverpool’s 28-year wait for the prestigious title is finally looking to come to an end from the way they have performed so far. Speaking about his side’s chances in the race, Mane said, “Of course we are confident if we’re winning – but not too much, we know what can happen. We are still professional footballers and we’re still going to try to take it game by game.”

Back in 2014, Liverpool missed a great opportunity to end their title drought due to some unfortunate results at the final stage of the league.
Although Mane wasn’t a part of the club then, during his two and a half seasons at the club, he surely knows how much the trophy means for the club and went on to say that, “ We have experience now.”

The break will prove to be quite a vital one for the team since being marred by numerous injuries especially at the defensive positions.
“It’s good for us to have a few days off and get a few injured players back, because now there’s quite a lot,” said Mane. The former Southampton ace has good faith in his fellow teammates and is confident that everyone will do their best to bring honours to the club.
