Ole Gunnar Solskjaer jokes it will be strange if he is not at Old Trafford next season
The Norwegian has overseen a remarkable turnaround in the club's fortunes since replacing Jose Mourinho before the turn of the year.
Manchester United's interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seemed confident that he is going to get the job permanently as he joked about it in a club promotional event.
The Norwegian came in at the hour of need as the Red Devils has just sacked Jose Mourinho in December. The team was in doldrums at that time and the players were pretty low with their morale. In came Solskjaer instilled the belief in the player's mind, got the team back on track earning 12 wins out of a possible 15 keeping the hopes of Champions League qualification alive.
There were strong rumours that the club was looking at other options to join the helm and Tottenham boss Mauricio Pocchetino was considered to be the next manager at Old Trafford. However, with Solskjaer delivering all the good since then, the management with have an urge to stick around with him for at least another year.
He was in a season ticket advert and was asked if the fans deserve to know who their manager will be next season, he said: "I've done a video shoot on season tickets so I'm pleading with them to get their season tickets!
"It will be strange to see myself in a video if I'm not here. It's not strange doing it, though.
"My kids if they see a commercial with me in it and I'm back home in Norway - that will be strange.
"It's just part of it being here doing a commercial. As a player as well, [you do one] then suddenly you're not here anymore and you see your picture."

The fans have been highly impressed with him as they want the board to allow him more time. Solskajaer only defeat in his short tenure came when the Red Devils lost 0-2 against Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League round of 16 making it a tough task to progress in the next round of the tournament.

It will be interesting to see how the former Molde manager handles the increasing pressure next season and how he tackles the transfer windows if the board allows him to stay at Old Trafford permanently next season.
