The former Juventus midfielder has been putting in excellent performances for Les Bleus which is a striking contrast to his displays in the Premier League.

Manchester United's star player Paul Pogba has failed to rediscover his World Cup form in the Premier League. The midfielder's colorless season so far which consists of mere five goals in 15 games across all competition is adding much to United's ongoing woes. In a recent interview, ex-French and Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf who was a part of French side which lifted the World Cup in 1998 justified the reason behind Pogba's inconsistent form at Old Trafford this season.

Speaking to ESPN, Frank Leboeuf said, "It was very hard to come back to Chelsea, to the training ground, to start running, to think we had to play the first game away to Coventry."

Pogba played a very important role in guiding Didier Deschamps’s side to lift the glory in Russia but has failed to replicate same for United.

"As Paul said, you touch the stars. For thousands of people, it wasn’t a dream, it was a fantasy. Suddenly you win it and you have to find the goals to make sure you still have a big appetite in football."

"You go through a kind of a depression where you have to find what you’re fighting for. Maybe that’s what Paul is living right now with all the players. You have to find back the pleasure of being back with your friends and liking sweating and suffering for the sake of it. It comes little by little. You have to work hard to try and win trophies, it’s the only way to make sure you’re still concerned about your sport," added Leboeuf.

Manchester United sit at 8th position with 20 points from 12 games. The Old Trafford side will host Crystal Palace on Saturday 24th November.
