I focus on what I can do- Christian Pulisic on his arrival at Chelsea
The Blues signed the American in the January transfer window earlier this year.
Chelsea fans had the opportunity to see their new signing, Christian Pulisic, for the first time donning the Blue jersey after a transfer was agreed for the winger, back in the January 2019 transfer window. The Blues have secured his services for a sum of £58 million which makes Pulisic the most-expensive player from the United States of America.
Speaking on his arrival in the Premier League, the playmaker said, “I’m still trying to take it all in. It’s been a huge dream of mine, to play here in England. So to be here is incredible.”
“There’s no doubt City had a great season, but Chelsea … there’s a champion mentality at this club. They are a confident group of guys who understand we have a long way to go, but we have a great squad already and everyone wants to take the steps so we can compete right away.” the 20-year-old further added.
The charismatic and pacy winger has been already touted as the direct replacement for Chelsea’s Player of the Season 2018-19, Eden Hazard, who is most likely going to finally complete a move to Real Madrid.

Speaking in the context of being compared to the Belgian, the former Borussia Dortmund player responded by saying that, “Eden’s a fantastic player, we all know that. If I can get anywhere close to him, I’ll be more than happy. But I’m coming in to be my own man. I try not to allow pressure from the outside to affect me.”
“I put enough pressure on myself to be good, to be great. That’s how I’ve always been. It’s quite easy to avoid the outside pressure. You just zone it out. I focus on what I can do,” he concluded.
[KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]Considering the apparent two-window transfer ban that has been handed to Chelsea by FIFA, Pulisic might be the only incoming player this season, with reports suggesting many loan recalls to be made by the club as a precautionary measure before an appeal to Court of Arbitration of Sports is made by the London-outfit to challenge the sanctions imposed on them.
Christian Pulisic is still a young prospect and has made a name for himself thanks to fantastic performances in the Bundesliga. Keeping his quality in mind, he will definitely hit the ground running and will be one of the individuals to keep an eye out for in the new season.
