Many clubs hired new managers for the current season.
The 2026/07 Premier League has witnessed plenty of changes, and for the first time we won’t be seeing Pep Guardiola on the touchline after he announced his exit from Manchester City.
Many top names decided to call it a day after their long tenure at their respective Premier League clubs, and for the first time we will witness many new faces in the new season.
Maybe for good reason: nine of the twenty clubs began the new season with a manager who was hired at the end of 2025–2026, marking the largest summer makeover in Premier League history.
The turmoil extends all the way to the top. Manchester United and Spurs have managers who only joined in January and March, respectively, while three of the Big Six started the season with managers hired this summer.
Mikel Arteta is the obvious anomaly. By August 19, the Arsenal manager has been in charge for 2,432 days, making him the longest-serving manager in the Premier League.
