According to Marca, the club already advised the player’s representation that the most recent offer is definitive. There will be no more raises or rounds of discussions. The situation is straightforward: if Vinicius agrees, he will renew his contract.

If he doesn’t, Real Madrid will consider a sale this summer to save the Brazilian from entering the last year of his contract and perhaps departing for free later.

Vinicius is still seen as an important player by the club. His contract extension remains a top goal. They feel his long-term achievement merits hefty financial recompense.

However, they have a strict rule: they will not alter the squad’s salary structure. Real Madrid are unlikely to change the wage structure for any player, no matter how important they are.

Furthermore, if the winger refuses to go, the sports scene will have altered. The anticipated acquisition of Diomandé, a player capable of playing on both wings, would provide Jose Mourinho with a top-tier option. It will minimise the coach’s reliance on the Brazilian.
