Real Madrid have signed striker Carlos Espí from Levante on a five-year deal, the club confirmed on Thursday.
Carlos Espí, a 21-year-old Spain youth international, scored 11 goals in LaLiga last season. He was awarded the league’s best under-23 player.
Espí will fight alongside Kylian Mbappé and Endrick as Madrid’s attacking options under new coach José Mourinho.
He is Madrid’s fifth summer acquisition, joining Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konaté, and Denzel Dumfries.

Espi, a 21-year-old attacker from Tavernes de la Valldigna in the Valencia area of Spain, has emerged as one of LaLiga’s most promising young players in recent seasons.
He was a product of Levante’s youth program. He moved from shining in the Juvenil A side to making his first-team debut in early 2024, playing an important part in their promotion to the first division.
Standing 1.94 metres (6’3″) tall, Espi is recognised for his physical power, outstanding link-up play, and precision finishing from within the opposition box.
According to Opta statistics, Espi recorded the second-highest proportion of headed goals (36.4%) among players who scored at least 10 goals in LaLiga last season. His name was only after Alexander Sorloth of Atletico Madrid (38.5%).
Last season, he fully bloomed, scoring 11 goals in 26 appearances (mostly as a substitute) in LaLiga, becoming Levante’s top scorer and keeping the club at the top level. His achievements won him the LaLiga Under-23 Player of the Year title and a place on Spain’s youth national teams.
