Real Madrid's pre-season friendlies: Dates & kick-off times

Los Blancos will kick-start next league season with a new manager.
Real Madrid are preparing to begin pre-season with Jose Mourinho back in command. Player availability will be determined by their return dates for some after the end of the World Cup, as well as injuries and transfers. Certain fixtures may be subject to modification.
Rodrygo is rehabilitating from a long-term injury; thus, he will miss all of pre-season and nearly half of the competitive season. Éder Militão and Ferland Mendy are also expected to miss pre-season due to injuries.
Los Blancos’ pre-season starts with a behind-closed-doors encounter versus Leganes. They will meet Fiorentina in Austria and Deportivo La Coruña in the Teresa Herrera Trophy. This is the 81st edition of the event, which Deportivo host annually.
There have also been rumours of a friendly against Schalke 04 at the Veltins Arena. However, this has yet to be confirmed.
The match against Leganes will not be aired. However, the other two announced friendlies are anticipated to air on the club’s TV.
Los Blancos‘ primary camp will be held at their training facility, Ciudad Madrid. Preparations began on July 13 with a smaller roster. Several players are still resting after the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Mourinho is likely to call young players to play in the pre-season. The Portuguese manager will hope to start his second stint as Los Blancos coach on a positive note.
