Juventus sporting director rules out Pogba's move back to Turin
The Old Lady are rumoured to have been interested in the French midfielder since controversies started surrounding him and United.
World Cup-winning midfielder Paul Pogba has been grabbing headlines in the past few weeks. The French midfielder clearly has issues with Jose Mourinho and with time, it seems one of them may leave Old Trafford. With the French midfielder high on demands, Pogba was linked with several clubs starting from Barcelona and ending with a return to Juventus.
Hence answering to that speculation the Sporting Director of the Old Lady, Fabio Paratici rules out a return for the Manchester United academy graduate.
Pogba had a brilliant time back in Turin and was bought back by United in 2016 for a transfer fee of €105million, which was a record at that time. The French midfielder was an integral part of that midfield trio under Antonio Conte which included Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal. Pogba was a fan favourite in Turin and won the Serie A title in every season he was there donning the Black and Whites of Juventus. He also bagged two Italian Cups and as many Italian Super Cups during his time for the Italian champions.
Regarding a potential return to Turin, Juve Sporting Director, Paratici said, " We love him very much and we want him to do well since we are close to him but he isn't a Juve player anymore. We're connected to him, but we've never thought about it and we're not going to think about it."
He also made his claims regarding Cristiano Ronaldo's eagerness about this move from Real Madrid to Turin for £105million in the previous summer.
"We talked about it initially, and straight away we got the feeling he wanted to join us, which was a huge advantage," said Paratici.
"Real Madrid had a gentleman's agreement with him, the ownership kicked things off and negotiations began."
