Gianluigi Donnarumma: AC Milan keeper set join Juventus?

The club is currently facing a dilemma over the player's increased wage demands.

AC Milan are undergoing tough times at present as they will be forced to let go of young custodian Gianluigi Donnarumma in the upcoming window.

Amidst speculations, the Italian giants are set to make a move for Boca Juniors' Esteban Andrade as a replacement for the 20-year-old. Several times in the recent months have there been speculations revolving the two clubs.

Donnarumma, on the other hand, is one of the most highly-rated goalkeepers in the world. Naturally with his unstable situation and contract expiring in 2021, several top clubs have emerged as potential suitors.

Reports from Calciomercato suggest, defending champions Juventus are interested in acquiring the services of Gianluigi Donnarumma. The player is currently undergoing his contract renewal talks with Milan and the Old Lady is believed to keep close tabs on his movements.

Initially, Milan had offered the keeper a new contract. However, he has appeared to have demanded an increase in his wages putting the club in a dilemma.

Gianluigi Donnarumma has been a standout performer for Milan in recent years. In his 153 appearances for the club since 2015, the Italy international has managed to keep a massive 51 clean sheets. It was a significant feat by the then-teenager to become the No. 1 of a club with great heritage such as Milan.

Donnarumma was awarded the 'Rivelazione dell'anno' (Revelation of the Year) at Gazzetta Sports Awards in 2016 for his excellent performances.

Yet, as things stand, the youngster is seeking greener pastures amidst Milan's ongoing financial problems.

On the other hand, his addition would be immensely valuable for Juventus, who already have Wojciech Szczęsny. The 20-year old's signature would definitely turn out to be an exciting move further making Juventus an unbeatable team in the Serie A.
