Shillong Lajong thrash Latikor Sports Club in SSA tournament 2017 opener

Shillong Lajong FC won their opening game against Laitkor Sports Club by 6 goals to nil in the U-15 SSA Football Tournament 2017 held at Polo Ground today.

The U-15 tournament is being played for 35 minutes each. Mebanrikupar gave the Lajong Junior Reds the lead in the 32nd minute of the game after an assist by Besterland.

Mebanrikupar scored his second goal in the 36th minute after he received a good ball by Sambor Sun and successfully converted the chance into the back of the net.

Shillong Lajong Juniors controlled the game brilliantly and had majority of the chances. The young colts displayed neat passes and also had a good understanding with each other. 

After playing the ball forward continuously, Shillong Lajong again got past the Laitkor defence and this time it was Batskhem who registered his name on the scoresheet with Mebanrikupar assiting the goal for his mate in the 40th minute. 

Mebanrikupar who was having such a good game today, completed his hat-trick to give Lajong Juniors a 4-0 lead in the game. He scored the goal in the 52nd minute.

As the game wore on, Laitkor Sports Club were finding it very hard to get past the Lajong Junior wall and conceded another goal with Pynshngain firing the shot in the 65th minute.

Wanpynskhem made it 6-0 in the 69th minute after an assist by Mebanrikupar who also netted his hat trick today. 

Shillong lajong Juniors won today's game by 6-0 and earned three points.
