Super League Kerala 2025: List of award winners

Kannur Warriors lifted their first-ever Kerala Super League trophy.
During a period when there is no football in the country, Thrissur Magic FC and Kannur Warriors faced off for the 2025 Super League Kerala championships on Friday, December 19, 2025, in a jam-packed Jawahar Municipal Stadium in Kannur.
Asier Gomes’ first-half penalty was the difference between the two teams, as Kannur Warriors FC won their maiden title. From being almost entirely eliminated after round 9 of the 2025 SLK group stage, the Warriors under Manuel Sanchez have gone on to win the competition.
Let us take a look at the players who played brilliantly for their clubs and received individual accolades at the 2025 Super League Kerala recognition ceremony.
Golden Boot – John Kennedy
Malappuram FC striker John Kennedy was named the 2025 Super League Kerala Golden Boot winner. The Brazilian striker made his debut in the SLK in the 2024 season, representing Calicut FC and won the championship with important goals in the playoffs. He continued his impressive form this season while playing for Malappuram FC.
John scored 8 goals in 10 group stage games, including a key hat-trick on the penultimate matchday to propel Malappuram FC into the 2025 Super League Kerala playoffs. However, he was defeated in the semi-finals by Thrissur Magic FC. Despite the sadness, John would take the golden boot as a tiny personal victory.
Player of the tournament – Muhammad Ajsal

Kerala Blasters forward Muhammad Ajsal won the 2025 Super League Kerala player of the tournament award. Ajsal, who was on loan from the Blasters, just lost out on the golden boot, finishing one goal behind John Kennedy.
Ajsal had eight goal contributions in eleven games this season, including an hattrick in Calicut FC’s 6-2 victory over Forca Kochi FC. Not only that, but he has been one of the league’s top players in terms of performance and versatility, playing seamlessly throughout the frontline.
With successful loan periods and good performances in the Super League Kerala and I-League, the 22-year-old forward will be banging on David Catala’s door for a shot in the first team of the Kerala Blasters, who are known for giving academy players opportunities.
Golden Glove – Kamaludheen AK

Thrissur Magic’s custodian Kamaludheen won the golden glove of the 2025 Super League Kerala with four cleansheets in nine games. He has been a wall at the back for the Magicians, having conceded just 5 goals in 9 games, making 26 saves, including a couple of crucial saves to secure all three points for his team.
No one can argue with the fact that Kamaludheen does not deserve to win the award. His performances also caught the eyes of head coach Naushad Moosa, who called him up for the Indian U-23 NT, making him one of the first players to get an NT call-up while playing in the Super League Kerala.
Best Young Player – Muhammed Sinan

Sinan started the season as a young rookie waiting for his opportunities on the bench of Kannur Warriors FC. He took his chance in the first game itself with 2 assists against Thiruvananthapuram Kombans FC despite coming off the bench and playing just 22 minutes. He continued his fine form in the group stage with six goal contributions and slowly cemented his place in the first 11.
The 21-year-old forward’s performances played a crucial part in Kannur’s 2025 SLK triumph, including a crucial winner against Calicut FC in the semi-finals. Sinan would have caught the eyes of some of the club scouts and could make a step-up to the ISL or I-League in the near future.
