The Bundesliga is one of the best football competitions in the world. It has produced many top players of the game over the years. The German football’s top-tier has always has been a great proving ground for youngsters to showcase their skills.

The German league is known for its fast-paced and attack-oriented football. This makes it great for upcoming forwards to announce themselves on the world stage. The Bundesliga e clubs have a history of giving young footballers an opportunity to display their quality with millions watching.

Here are the top 10 youngest goalscorers in Bundesliga history.

10. Luca Netz (Hertha Berlin)

Netz came through the youth ranks of Hertha Berlin. He eventually became the third-youngest player to make his debut for the club in January 2021. Netz scored his first Bundesliga goal at the age of 17 years 8 months and 29 days. He did this in a 1-1 draw against VFB Stuttgart, helping his team to level terms in the game. With that strike, Netz also became one of the youngest goalscorers in Bundesliga history .

9. Ibrahim Tanko (Borussia Dortmund)

The Ghanaian striker broke into the Borussia Dortmund first team in the 1994-95 season. But he had to wait for his maiden strike in the league till April 1995. Tanko opened his Bundesliga account with a strike against Bayer Uderingen at the age of 17 years 8 months and 7 days. Tanko scored the third in a 3-1 victory, which helped the Black and Yellows to their maiden Bundesliga title.

Another Borussia Dortmund player makes it into the list. The German broke through in the first team in the 1993-94 season. He made his debut against Milan in UEFA Cup in March. A week later, Ricken made his first appearance in the Bundesliga, scoring his first goal for the club three days later. Ricken scored his first goal in the league in a 2-1 win against Duisburg at the age of 17 years 8 months and 1 day, thus becoming one of the youngest goalscorers in Bundesliga history.

7. Christian Pulisic (Borussia Dortmund)

Pulisic was the pioneer of the current American stars in the Bundesliga as the forward was the driving factor behind the league’s growing popularity in the USA. The American made his Bundesliga debut in January 2016 and was the youngest footballer from the USA to feature in the league at that time. Pulisic scored his first goal in the league at the age of 17 years 06 months 30 days as he netted the opener in a comfortable 3-0 win over Hamburg in April 2017.

6. Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich)

The starlet is one of the rising stars in a star-studded Bayern Munich team. He became the youngest player in the Bundesliga for the Bavarians when he made his debut in the closing weekends of the 2019-20 season. He followed it by becoming Bayern's youngest ever goalscorer in the league, when he netted his first goal in an 8-0 thrashing of Schalke on September 2020. Musiala was just 17 years 6 months 23 days at the time.

5. Timo Werner (VFB Stuttgart)

The German striker was noticed by the world due to his goalscoring exploits at RB Leipzig. However, he first came into the limelight while playing for VFB Stuttgart, becoming the youngest player in their history to feature in the league as well as score a goal. Timo Werner opened his Bundesliga account at the age of 17 years 6 months and 16 days when he netted a headed equaliser in a 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt on 22 September 2013.

4. Julian Draxler (Schalke)

Draxler came through the youth academy of Schalke 04 and became the youngest player to debut for the club in the league in January 2011. The German also became the youngest Bundesliga goalscorer in the club’s history, when he came off the bench to score in a 2-0 win over FC St Pauli. Julian Draxler was 17 years 6 months and 12 days old during the time of his maiden strike.

3. Nuri Sahin (Borussia Dortmund)

The Turkish footballer held the record of being the youngest debutant and goalscorer in the history of Bundesliga at one time but has since been surpassed. Sahin opened his account in Germany’s top flight at the age of 17 years 2 months and 21 days when he netted a crucial winner for Borussia Dortmund in their 2-1 win over FC Nuremberg in November 2005.

The German prodigy is the youngest debutant and goalscorer in the club’s Bundesliga history, dislodging Kai Havertz from the spot. Wirtz made his debut for Bayer Leverkusen in the 2020-21 season. He was quick to make an impression as he scored his first league goal in only his fourth appearance. Coming off as a substitute against Bayern Munich, Wirtz scored a stunner past Manual Neuer to open his account in the Bundesliga at the age of 17 years 1 month and 4 days.

1. Youssoufa Moukoko (Borussia Dortmund)

Youssoufa Moukoko announced himself on the world stage just 28 days after his 16th birthday, becoming the youngest goalscorer in Bundesliga history. Moukoko’s maiden strike in the league came in a losing cause as Borussia Dortmund were beaten by Union Berlin 2-1. The Dortmund striker is also the youngest ever debutant in the league, overtaking a record previously held by Nuri Sahin and Yan Bisseck.
