The Polish star reportedly indicated his desire to try a new challenge away from Bayern Munich.

Robert Lewandowski has established himself as one of the elite strikers in football. The Polish superstar has scored more than 10 goals in 13 out of 18 seasons in professional football.

But Lewandowski's most awe-inspiring chapter has undoubtedly been at Bayern Munich. Lewandowski has scored a whopping 297 goals in 331 games and has won everything there is to win at the club, individually and collectively. He led the Bavarians to their second treble in 2019-20, scoring 55 goals in all competitions and was voted the FIFA Best Men's Player. The 33-year old is also the third-highest goalscorer in Champions League history with 73 goals.

In the 2020-21 season, Lewandowski scored 41 goals in the league - the highest ever tally in a single Bundesliga campaign in history. He surpassed the late Gerd Muller's record of 40 goals in a single season. Having won it all at Bayern, Lewandowski has reportedly cited his desire for a new challenge elsewhere.

Robert Lewandowski still has two years remaining on his current deal. Should a move not materialize this summer, next year could see his transfer value drop further, giving clubs greater leverage. His experience and consistency would make him a great addition to any club in the world.

Here are five clubs that could sign Robert Lewandowski in the future.

5. Paris Saint-Germain

Despite having the most enviable squad in Europe, PSG still face the Kylian Mbappe conundrum. The Frenchman has for long been linked with a move to Real Madrid. It also seems likely that it's only a matter of time before Mbappe touches base in the Spanish capital. The only reserve for Paris in the attack is Mauro Icardi.

Icardi has been rather disappointing and has failed to recreate his performances for Inter at the French capital. Therefore, Robert Lewandowski represents an ideal replacement for Mbappe and a further boost to PSG's trophy ambitions in the future. Also, imagine him teaming up with Neymar and Messi up front.

4. Liverpool

The Reds boast arguably the most lethal frontline in the Premier League. But, an area of concern is the form and output of Roberto Firmino. Also, the contracts of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Firmino will come to an end in 2023.

Therefore, signing Robert Lewandowski would pose a significant upgrade in the attacking department. His combination along with Liverpool's famed frontline would bolster their attacking options. The Pole's addition would add more depth to their squad and it could also help ease the possible exit of one of their current forwards.

Lewandowski has also played under Klopp at Borussia Dortmund. Therefore, the duo could team up once again to make the already lethal Liverpool attack even more frightening.

3. Juventus

With the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus have only three proper forwards in Alvaro Morata, Paulo Dybala, and newly signed Kaio Jorge. The contract of Dybala ends in 2022 as well which poses further problems.

Morata has issues with consistency and the club would exercise caution against making his loan move permanent. Dybala has struggled for game time in the past few seasons. He has also been consistently linked with a move out of Turin. Kaio Jorge is only 19 and it would take a while for him to fit into Bianconeri's scheme of things.

Therefore, signing Robert Lewandowski makes perfect sense. He would add great strength and experience to the Bianconeri attack. Juventus also have the knack of extracting the best out of veteran players and therefore the Pole could lead Juventus to that elusive Champions League crown.

2. Manchester City

Pep Guardiola's side gave up on their chase of Tottenham's Harry Kane and were also interested in signing Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Haaland.

Manchester City's pursuit of the duo shows their need for a striker. Robert Lewandowski would be a great option should City fail to land either of the players. The Pole would fit hand-in-glove in Pep's system having previously played under him at Bayern Munich. Add to that the creative options around him in Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish and Phil Foden, and City would form a devastating attack that would tear defences apart.

1. Inter Milan

The ideal destination for Robert Lewandowski would be Inter Milan. Inter are struggling financially and therefore have had to sell two important players in Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi.

The former's absence would especially hurt the side who would miss his goals. Inter have signed Edin Dzeko, but Lewandowski would be a perfect replacement for Lukaku. He would also be the ideal strike partner for Lautaro Martinez.

Lewandowski's prolific nature would ensure that Inter's strikeforce remains strengthened. It would also allow the Argentinian to play in his usual role of a second striker or #10.
