Robert Lewandowski is one of the best strikers of his generation. The Poland international has been in sensational form for the past couple of seasons. He has been instrumental in Bayern Munich’s recent dominance in Germany. The striker has won seven consecutive league titles and a Champions League with them. However, Lewandowski’s future at the Bavarian club remains uncertain.

The Poland international has a contract with Bayern Munich until 2023. However, Robert Lewandowski wants to sort out his future in the summer. The striker is asking for a new deal or is ready to leave. At the moment, there are no signs of a contract extension. This could see the 33-year-old part ways with the Bavarian giants in the summer.

Several European heavyweights will be keeping a close eye on Robert Lewandowski’s situation. Let’s take a look at five clubs that should target the Polish striker.

5. Manchester City

Pep Guardiola’s team have been without a proper striker for a couple of seasons. The Premier League giants have found a way to play brilliant football despite that. However, the Mancunian club are in the market for an attacker.

Erling Haaland has been their top priority. But, several European clubs are also interested in the Norwegian. This could make things tricky for Man City. However, Robert Lewandowski will be a great alternative.

The Poland international has played under Pep Guardiola in Germany. He can certainly fit in a possession-based system. Lewandowski will also offer Manchester City a much-needed goalscorer.

4. Paris Saint Germain

PSG should target Robert Lewandowski in the summer. There are doubts about whether Kylian Mbappe will continue at the club. The Pole can be a great replacement for the Frenchman.

Lewandowski will fit brilliantly at the club. Being a proper No. 9, he can play well alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar. The Polish striker could be the target man the two playmakers need.

Playing in Paris will also be a lucrative proposition for the striker. They are favourites for the league title every year. With PSG’s squad, Lewandowski will certainly continue to score loads of goals.

3. Atletico Madrid

Luis Suarez has been leading the line for the Rojiblancos for the last two seasons. The Uruguayan has been an ever-present since his arrival. He helped the club win the league last season. However, the 35-year-old could be on his way out. His contract expires in the summer. At the moment, there are no discussions about a new deal.

Robert Lewandowski will be an apt replacement. Atletico is a great place for strikers with experience. Diego Simeone's system allows them to flourish. The Polish forward will immediately become a permanent fixture in the team. His goalscoring exploits will certainly help a defence-oriented team.

Atletico Madrid have shown the desire to spend big in recent seasons. Joao Felix is an example of that. The Rojiblancos can match Bayern's demands if Robert Lewandowski becomes available.

The Blues have been brilliant under Thomas Tuchel. However, they have struggled in the No. 9 position for quite some time. Chelsea signed Romelu Lukaku in the summer to solve this. But, the move hasn’t work out. The same transpired with Timo Werner's move a year prior.

Chelsea should target Robert Lewandowski in the summer. The Polish striker is a proven goalscorer. He also has the mentality to handle the expectations and demands of the fans.

1. Barcelona

The Catalans are in desperate need of a striker. They struggled to replace the goals provided by Lionel Messi at the start of the season. To counter this, they signed a number of attackers in the winter window. However, most of them are on short-term deals.

Signing a proven goalscorer is a must for Barcelona. Robert Lewandowski certainly fits the bill. The Polish international guarantees goals and reportedly wants a long-term deal.

The Blaugranas are tipped as the favourites to sign the striker if he leaves. But, whether they can afford him remains to be seen.
