Some of the best players in the world have won the honour multiple times.
The Premier League is one of the most competitive leagues in the world, if not the most competitive. The first division of the English league system houses some of the best players from across the globe. The financial might of the clubs allows them to bring in the best of players, who attempt to bring success to their teams. As a result, performing well on a consistent basis in the league is a massive task. While making your mark in the competition as a player is noteworthy, doing it on a regular basis is a different feat altogether. The player who performs brilliantly across a particular month receives the prestigious Player of the Month (POTM) award.
Interestingly, 1994 was the first year when the award was given to Jurgen Klinsmann of Tottenham Hostspur. Bruno Fernandes became the first player to win the award four times in a calendar year in 2020.
