Top five records Cristiano Ronaldo will eye to break with Juventus
The Portuguese talisman will play for the Old Lady now and there are a few unique records waiting for him.
After weeks of speculation and rumors, the transfer saga regarding Cristiano Ronaldo finally came to an end after Real Madrid announced his departure from the club on 10 July 2018. The star will be moving to Juventus in an unprecedented move that will cost the Italian side approximately €105 million.
Ronaldo has been with the Spanish side for nine years, netting 451 goals in 438 appearances and winning 15 titles, including two La Liga crowns, four UEFA Champions League titles, two UEFA Super Cups, two Copa del Reys and three FIFA Club World Cups. He is no stranger to records and always strives to be the very best. Here, we take a look at the five records that Cristiano Ronaldo will look to break in Juventus colours.

1. The first player to win English Premier League, Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A
The last player who came closest to achieving this feat was David Beckham back when he was an AC Milan player. Ronaldo can become the first player ever to win all three major leagues in England, Spain and Italy.
Juventus have won the last seven Serie A titles and this domination looks set to continue. This would be a perfect opportunity for Ronaldo to add another trophy to his collection. Some rumours even suggest that winning the Serie A is one of the prime factors behind his move.
2. The first player to be the top scorer in English Premier League, Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A
Ronaldo is no stranger to goals and he excels in topping the goalscoring charts in every season. He was the top scorer in three La Liga seasons for Real Madrid and was in constant competition with Lionel Messi for this feat.
With a move to Serie A and the absence of Messi to compete with, it will not come as a surprise if Ronaldo finishes as the top scorer in his very first season with Juventus.
3. The first player to score a hattrick in three consecutive UEFA Champions League tournaments
Juventus are regular participants in the Champions League and from next season they will have Ronaldo on their side. The forward is on the verge of being the first player ever to score a hat-trick in three consecutive seasons in the competition, after having scored a hat-trick in both the 2016 and 2017 campaigns.
The only other players who have ever scored hat-tricks in two consecutive UCL seasons are Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Adriano (Internazionale), Mario Gomez (Bayern Munich), and Roberto Soldado (Valencia). Ronaldo has the opportunity to go a step further.
4. The first player to be the top scorer in UEFA Champions League with three different clubs
In the 2007-08 season, Cristiano Ronaldo finished as the top scorer in the Champions League for Manchester United and has finished as the top scorer for Real Madrid six times.
At the moment he is tied with the legendary Andriy Shevchenko for finishing as the top scorer for two different clubs. With the move to Juventus, Ronaldo has the opportunity to become the first player ever to become the top scorer in the Champions League for three different clubs.

5. Only active player to win six UEFA Champions League titles
Ronaldo has a mind-boggling five Champions League trophies to his name, one with United and four with Real Madrid. Currently, he is one trophy behind iconic Spaniard winger, Paco Gento, who won six titles with Los Blancos. Ronaldo will have the chance to attain this feat in the coming seasons when he takes the UCL stage in the black and white colors of Juventus and become the only active player to have six trophies to his name. It is not a far-fetched dream for Ronaldo to finish as the player with the most number of Champions League trophies.

With that being said, Ronaldo is also on course for becoming the player with the most appearances in the Champions League. As of now, he is 20 appearances shy of the record held by Iker Casillas who sits at the top with 170 appearances.
Moreover, if Ronaldo manages to win the Champions League with Juventus, he will become only the second player ever after Clarence Seedorf (Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan) to have won it with three different clubs. With so many world records under his belt, it seems like Ronaldo is not finished just yet and a new chapter in his career may also bring new records along with it.
