FIFA 22 is out now after it’s global launch on October 1, 2021 on all major platforms such as the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PC and more. The fans of the game waited eagerly to get their hands on the latest edition of the popular game developed by Electronic Arts. FIFA 22 is easily the most popular football video game out there and attracts millions of players across the globe.

One of the modes in the game is Career Mode, which is hugely popular among the users. The mode allows one to take control of their favourite club and manage it on and off the field. One of the key aspects in it is the growth of players. There is a potential rating within the game that players can reach with time and training. 

The highest potential rating is provided to those young footballers who show extreme promise in the real world. After all, the potential growth and rating mimics the real world potential of the player in question.

10. Ansu Fati - 90

FC Barcelona’s young wonderkid Ansu Fati has a potential rating of 90 in FIFA 22. The 18-year-old has an overall rating of 76 and will grow with time and experience. Signing the player within the game could be a challenge due to his €17.5 million value and €44,000 a week wage. Having said that, if one starts with a big budget team, signing Fati should be a priority.

Manchester United’s new acquisition Jadon Sancho is next up on the list. The Englishman has a potential rating of 91 and comes with a high overall rating of 87 from the start. The 21-year-old is one of the most promising young players in the world and in the game as well. Sancho is one of the best dribblers in FIFA 22 and has a five-star skill rating to match his real-world technical brilliance.

8. Joao Felix - 91

Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix also has a 91 potential rating with an overall of 83 points from the beginning. The 21-year-old joined the La Liga giants in 2019 for a €127.2 million fee, becoming their most expensive transfer ever. He lies second among strikers when it comes to potential rating in the FIFA 22 Career Mode. 

7. Pedri - 91

Another young wonderkid from FC Barcelona’s ranks is Pedri. The central midfielder has an overall FIFA 22 rating of 81 and reaches a potential of 91 in the Career Mode. The versatile midfielder has a lot of room for growth but signing him for your club is a huge challenge. Pedri’s value in the game is €54 million and wages are €50,000 a week. 

6. Trent Alexander-Arnold - 92

Liverpool FC’s Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of the best right-backs in world football. He has immense talent and future pedigree and his game’s potential rating of 92 reflects that. The Englishman has the highest potential rating for a defender. His base overall FIFA 22 rating of 87 at the age of 22, which makes him a great option for any Career Mode team for the long run.

5. Kai Havertz - 92

Chelsea’s Kai Havertz has the highest potential rating in the club’s squad. The German has a 92 potential rating with a starting overall rating of 84. One of the most promising traits for Havertz is that he can play multiple roles such as an attacking midfielder and a centre forward. However, his market value of €94.5 million will make it very challenging for the users to sign him in FIFA 22.

Manchester City’s Phil Foden has a potential rating of 92 within the game and a base overall of 84 points. The 21-year-old is massively talented from the Premier League and will be a very popular pick due to his potential growth. While his market value of €94.5 million and wages of €125,000 a week make it tough to sign him, his potential makes it worth it.

3. Gianluigi Donnarumma - 93

Paris Saint-Germain’s new acquisition Gianluigi Donnarumma has a potential rating of 93. This makes him the goalkeeper with the highest potential rating in the game. Donnarumma is only 22-years-old and has an overall rating of 89 to begin with. He is not only a prospect for the future but one of the best players in the game from the beginning.

Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund is outrightly one of the best strikers in Europe. However, he is only 20-years-old, which makes him a huge prospect for the future. The Norwegian striker has a potential rating of 93, second highest in the game. His base overall rating of 88 makes him a great addition in the FIFA Ultimate Team mode as well. 

1. Kylian Mbappe - 95

PSG’s Kylian Mbappe has the highest potential rating of 95 in FIFA 22. The Frenchman has an overall rating of 91, making him one of the best players in the game. Since he is only 22-years-old, there is room for growth for the striker in the Career Mode. Interestingly, he has the highest pace in the game at 97, which makes him a great addition in any squad setup.
