Manchester City appeared to be a team with high ambitions this season, and their new signing Erling Haaland has depicted his goal-scoring instincts. With ten goals in six matches and two in the Champions League, the Citizens have been considered favorites for this season’s Champions League. However, how things play out in the later stages of this competition remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, Dortmund have made a good start to the season and will strive to build on it. Despite the loss of new signing Sebastian Haller, the German club have overcome instability and adversity and will be ready to face Manchester City on Wednesday night.

Injury and team news

Kyle Walker and John Stones were sidelined with minor injuries, and Guardiola has yet to confirm whether they will play in this game. While fellow centre-back Aymeric Laporte remains unavailable with an injury. Guardiola will have to make another lineup change because his forwards Julian Alvarez and Riyad Maharez will not be available for the match. Lapote is back in Manchester City training.

Dortmund have no injury concerns, as they will only be without Hazard, who was limped off after a 15-minute cameo against Copenhagen, though there is a chance he will be available for the game. Other long-term absentees include Gregor Kobel, Sebastien Haller, Mahmoud Dahoud, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, and Mateu Morey.
