Jay-Jay Okocha delivers his verdict on 2022 UEFA Super Cup final
The Nigerian legend's former side Eintracht Frankfurt take on Real Madrid on 10 August 2022.
The 2022 UEFA Super Cup is set to take place on 10 August 2022 at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki, Finland. Last season's Champions League winners Real Madrid and 2021-22 Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt take on each other in hope of lifting the Super Cup title at the end.
This will be the 47th edition of the UEFA Super Cup. The 2022 Super Cup final is a repetition of the 1960 European Cup Final between Real Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt. The Spanish giants Real Madrid won that match 7-3.
Nigerian legend Jay Jay Okocha made his name in the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt. The Nigerian forward made a total of 116 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit. In this time he recorded 25 goals and 18 assists. Okocha sat down with media personnel worldwide and spoke candidly in a wide-ranging interview.
When asked about his former side's upcoming clash against Real Madrid in the 2022 UEFA Super Cup final. Jay Jya Okocha replied:
"From what I've got Frankfurt have got nothing to lose you know. It's a game that nobody taught, with this in the first place, so I think they'll go out and enjoy the day or whatever happens will happen, you know if they get a result that does it bonus, you know, but, for me, I think it is."
"It is a great achievement for them to have the opportunity to play this game, you know, and that I think it's a game that they will forever remember in their lives." he added.
