The Mumbai FC manager is keen to bounce back after defeat against Bengaluru…
After coming from a defeat at the hands of the defending champions Bengaluru FC in their previous match, Mumbai FC Head Coach Santosh Kashyap made it clear that the men in yellow are adamant to come back to winning ways with an optimistic result against Aizawl FC on Sunday.
Santosh Kashyap admitted Bengaluru FC is a strong and better side as they suffered the first defeat of the season. “Bengaluru FC have a good side at their disposal. Not only the players, but the management has also been doing a terrific job. They are strong in each and every department,” Kashyap admitted.
Mumbai FC skipper Steven Dias believes his side will come back strong in the upcoming matches. “We have a young side just as Aizawl FC,” said the Mumbai FC captain in the pre-match press conference.” After losing our last game, we are eager to come back strong,” he further added.
The match between Mumbai FC and Aizawl FC will see the homecoming of former Mumbai FC Head Coach Khalid Jamil to the Cooperage Ground for the first time since he left his job to join Aizawl FC a few months ago. Kashyap didn’t mince his words while praising Khalid Jamil either, “He is a fighter, good coach and a good motivator. He plays according to his style, I have my very own.”
“The players are giving extra effort, both on the field and off the field. We are gearing to take all three points,” Santosh Kashyap, the current Mumbai FC Head Coach added.
The management and transfer policy of Mumbai Football Club were in question when they did not sign any of their foreign players and went on to lose against the defending champions Bengaluru FC in the previous game. After all the criticisms, Santosh Kashyap announced two foreign signings today, “Yes, we have signed two foreign players. The first one is Densill Theobald, who has played for Trinidad & Tobago and the other signing is Santana who is a Brazilian attacker,” Santosh Kashyap asserted during the press conference.
