The Brazilian legend is nearing his debut.
Ronaldinho grabbed the headlines in June when he reversed his retirement to sign for Italian club Ravenna FC, which plays in the third division, Serie C.
The 46-year-old Brazilian legend played his last professional game on September 24, 2015, for Fluminense against Santos. He officially announced his retirement three years later, in 2018.
However, the veteran midfielder reversed his decision to retire and signed for Ravenna in the summer transfer window. The reason for this move was the player’s close relationship with the club’s president, Ignazio Cipriani.
“New colours, same smile,” Ronaldinho said after the transfer was confirmed. “I cannot wait to dance with the ball and write a beautiful new story with Ignazio Cipriani and the Cipriani family.”
“Football has always been joyful for me, and I’m excited to bring that spirit to Ravenna. Let the magic begin!”
However, having not played professional football for more than a decade, the Brazilian is taking time to return to full match fitness. He is yet to be declared ready to make his official debut in the second chapter of his career.

According to a report from Il Resto del Carlino, Ronaldinho is likely to make his official debut for Ravenna during the home derby against Forli FC. The match will take place on Sunday, November 15.
It is not known whether the veteran player will start the match or come on from the bench, though the latter option looks more likely, having been away from the game for such a long period.
Ravenna currently sit second in their group in Serie C with 17 points from eight matches.
Ronaldinho will look to utilise his abundant experience to help his new club. He has had a storied career with several clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona, and AC Milan, winning the Ballon d’Or in 2005. He also won the 2002 FIFA World Cup with Brazil.
