For their round of 32 clash, the Morocco national football team battled it out against the Canada men’s national soccer team. The Houston Stadium is witnessing this high-stakes 2026 FIFA World Cup clash.

He was born on April 19, 2000, in Casablanca, Morocco. He developed his passion for football after joining the youth academy of Moroccan giants Raja Club Athletic. He stood out from the rest of the players due to his technical ability.

Azzedine Ounahi represented the Atlas Lions at the Under-20 level and made his senior debut in 2022. Since then, he has become a regular starter for the Morocco national football team. Ounahi was also one of the standout performers at the 2022 edition of the mega competition.

He is now representing Morocco at the FIFA World Cup 2026. In the midfield, he has been one of the main men. He scored a brace in the round of 16 clash against Canada and helped his side secure a spot in the quarterfinals.

Azzedine Ounahi went to France in 2018 and joined Strasbourg B. He then became a part of Angers SCO in 2021. His elegant style of play where he evaded pressure and maintained composure, was highly valued.

He played an important role at Olympique de Marseille in 2023 and then had a loan spell at Panathinaikos during the 2024-25 season.

Ounahi now plays for the Spanish club Girona.
