Group C of the 2026 FIFA World Cup is going to face tough competition. The Brazil national football team are coming in after securing a 1-1 draw against the Morocco national football team in their opening game at the grandest stage of them all.

The Mohamed Ouahbi-led side kicked things off after putting in a tough fight against A Selecao. The Atlas Lions are also considered one of Africa’s most successful national football teams and they did not disappoint against the five-time world champions.

The Morocco national football team were the one to break the deadlock after Ismael Saibari found the back of the net in the 21st minute. They put in a strong battle against the Carlo Ancelotti-led side, which is full of quality players from top football leagues around the world.

The 18-year-old Ayyoub Bouaddi was one of the top performers for Morocco. He was an important part of the midfield for his side. He started as a defensive midfielder and went on to help his side establish control in the game.

Born to Moroccan parents on October 2, 2007, Ayyoub Bouaddi developed his passion for football at an early age during his time in northern France. He quickly became one of the promising young talents in the country.

Bouaddi joined the youth academy for LOSC Lille in 2021 and with his exceptional performances on the field, he impressed coaches. He rapidly progressed through the ranks with his maturity, technical ability and intelligence in the midfield. One of the most important things was also his composure on the ball.

Ayyoub Bouaddi got into Lille’s first team during his teenage years in 2023. In recent seasons, he has continued his development in the French top division (Ligue 1).

With his top-of-the-line performances on the pitch, he became eligible to play for both France and Morocco. Bouaddi has now made his FIFA World Cup debut as a player for the Atlas Lions. He played his first game on the world stage against the five-time world champions, Brazil and impressed the fans with his performance in the midfield.
