Since the beginning of the Premier League 2026-27 season, Hull City have come up as one of the most exciting teams to look at. They managed to secure a place in the English top division after their exceptional performances in the EFL Championship last season.
In their opening game of the new campaign, the Tigers came out on top with a shocking 2-0 victory against the English giants Manchester United. With their win, they gave a strong warning to all other clubs present in the English top division.

He was born on June 1, 2002, in Mascara, Algeria. His father, Lakhdar Belloumi, was a celebrated Algerian international and is also considered one of the greatest players for his country. Mohamed Belloumi learned to play football around his father from an early age and later went on to carve out his own path after beginning his development at the local club, GC Mascara.
Belloumi joined the club’s youth system back in 2012. After competing through different stages for Mascara, he became a part of MC Oran, which is also a local Algerian club. Soon after joining the club, he was promoted to compete for their first team in 2021 after his top-of-the-line performances. His playing style, with his fast pace on the right flank, helped him.
Mohamed Belloumi then made a move to Europe in February 2022. He joined the Portuguese side SC Farense. During his initial days, he was included in their Under-23 squad. This also allowed him to adapt to a new league and footballing system. The Algerian winger made his senior debut for Farense in November 2022 during the Taça de Portugal clash against Leixões.
The 2023-24 campaign came out to be a breakthrough campaign for Belloumi. His progress with the Portuguese club ultimately attracted the attention of the English club, Hull City. The Algerian winger joined them in August 2024 on what was a four-year contract. Since then, he has been an important aspect of the squad.
The Tigers got promoted to the English Premier League for the 2026-27 season and Mohamed Belloumi made sure to come up with top performances for his side. He delivered a sensational performance against Chelsea after scoring an important brace.
Even though he has competed for Algeria’s senior side, Belloumi has represented his nation at youth levels and also has a goal to his name.
