Both Harry Kane and Michael Olise have been given extra rest after the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Bayern Munich’s 2026 South Korea trip continued with a match against K League club Jeju SK. But fans hoping to see Harry Kane and Michael Olise in the starting lineup will have to wait a little longer.
As the German giants continue their preparation for the next season, many big names were missing from the starting lineup for the game.
Fans hoping to see them were left disappointed. The club haven’t called up all the players for the pre-season matches.
One of the big names, the England skipper, Kane, was left out of Bayern’s Asia tour squad. It prompted numerous questions from fans before the game.
Kane isn’t the only major name missing. Michael Olise was also left out of the squad after playing in the World Cup semi-final.
Jamal Musiala and Alphonso Davies are both recovering. Instead, Bayern are using the friendly to help players who returned earlier this summer get ready for matches.

Why did Michael Olise & Harry Kane miss Bayern Munich vs Jeju SK FC pre-season friendly?
Olise and Harry Kane did not participate in Bayern Munich’s pre-season friendly against Jeju SK FC. They have received extra rest and holiday time after long runs with their respective national teams at the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Both players participated till late in the World Cup campaign. They need time to recover. They will return before the first game of the competitive season.
Manager Vincent Kompany and his coaching team decided not to hurry them back. They prefer to integrate them gradually ahead of the upcoming Bundesliga season rather than taking them on the Asia pre-season trip.
