Why will Mathias Olivera & Martin Satriano miss India vs Uruguay international friendly?
Both Mathias Olivera and Martin Satriano have been ruled out of the next match.
The Uruguay national football team will travel to the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK) in Kolkata to take on India in their final FIFA international friendly on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
La Celeste enter the fixture as heavy favourites, having beaten South Korea 4-1 away in their last match. Darwin Nunez is in fine form, scoring twice in his last outing. Diego Forlan will hope that his side can produce a similar performance against the Blue Tigers.
However, the 15-time Copa America winners have faced several injury setbacks before the upcoming friendly. Multiple first-team players who played a part in their previous friendlies against Japan and South Korea have suffered injuries and returned to their clubs for rehabilitation, leaving Forlan short of options.

The defender reportedly felt discomfort in training and underwent further tests, revealing the issue. He has returned to the SSC Napoli Training Centre to begin his rehabilitation programme.
