The 24-year-old hasn’t started for La Roja in the World Cup this year!

Led by Luis de la Fuente, the Spain national football team will be back in action for the FIFA World Cup 2026 final. They are going head-to-head against the defending champions, Argentina. This will be an entertaining clash to watch, taking place at the New York-New Jersey Stadium.

La Roja have done a commendable job when it comes to defending. They have only conceded one goal in the flagship tournament this year and will be looking to keep things that way. Their performance in the final third was in question, but against France in the semifinal, Luis de la Fuente’s men shut down every doubt after their easy 2-0 victory.

Against Argentina, the Spain national football team must keep in mind that the smallest of a mistake can be of trouble for them. La Roja are hunting for their second FIFA World Cup title. Their first one came in 2010 and with the current squad, they are more than capable of taking down Lionel Messi and company. La Albiceleste have done a great job when it comes to making comebacks.

Nico Williams will start on the bench for Spain vs Argentina FIFA World Cup 2026 final. He hasn’t started for the Spain national football team in their ongoing campaign in the mega competition.

Ahead of the flagship tournament, Williams was not at 100% fitness and as a result, Luis de la Fuente has opted to start Alex Baena on the left flank. This combination has worked for La Roja. The 24-year-old winger might come on as a substitute later in the game.

The Spaniards will be coming into the battle against Argentina with no change in their squad. Mikel Oyarzabal will continue to lead in the final third. Alex Baena and Lamine Yamal will be on the flanks. Looking to establish control in the midfield will be Dani Olmo, Rodri and Fabian Ruiz.

Forming a strong backline as usual will be Pedro Porro, Pau Cubarsi, Aymeric Laporte and Marc Cucurella. In form, Unai SimΓ³n is the first-choice goalkeeper.

When and where is Spain vs Argentina FIFA World Cup 2026 final?

The high-stakes game will take place at MetLife Stadium on July 19.
