Comoros announce squad for AFCON 2025

Their first game of the competition will be against Morocco.
Comoros national team’s final roster for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco has been revealed. Head coach Stéphane Cusin has chosen a well-rounded combination of seasoned players and up-and-coming talent for the island nation’s most recent continental campaign.
Salim Boina, Youssouf Pandor, and Ali Anzimati are the three goalkeepers on the 26-man roster who will be responsible for maintaining the team’s goalpost.
A potent defensive group follows them, comprised of the likes of Kassim M’Dahoma, Younes Zahary, and seasoned full-back Benjaloud Youssouf. Young defenders that add energy and variety to the team include Youssouf Saïd Mmadi and Ibro Boura.
However, Comoros are in Group A of the competition, and their first match of the competition will be against host nation Morocco on 21st December.
Les Coelacanthes will take part in AFCON 2025 with a competitive squad and a growing sense of confidence following recent impressive performances. They hope to build on their historic 2021 run and become one of the competition’s surprise packages once more.
They possess a quality squad and will be ready to challenge every side; moreover, their chances of making it to the knockout stage are also excellent, considering Morocco are the only big test they will face.
