The Rossoneri are back in action as they take on Udinese in round eight of the Serie A match on Saturday at the San Siro. They will be aiming to return to winning ways after suffering a defeat against Fiorentina in the last game. 

AC Milan made an encouraging start to the new season but have suffered a dip in form in the last few games. First losing to Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League followed by a defeat against Fiorentina in the last league action.

However, the good thing for Paulo Fonseca’s side is they are just five points off table toppers Napoli with still a large chunk of the season to play for. 

Meanwhile, Udinese have made a good start to the new season. The White-blacks are currently languishing in the fifth position after seven games gathering 13 points from the opening matches courtesy of four wins, one draw, and two losses. 

Kosta Runjaic’s side have gone toe-to-toe with the big teams this season, first pulling victory over Lazio and suffering a defeat against Inter Milan in a thrilling 3-2 loss. The last five games have seen them collect three wins. They also kept two clean sheets in the process.

Christian Pulisic (⁠AC Milan)

The USA international has started the season in red-hot form for Rossoneri scoring five goals and assisting another two in the opening seven games. Finally, Pulisic seems to have found a team where he is starting to produce goals regularly after spells at Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund. He is known for his versatility due to his ability to play in several positions and can cause havoc with his directness in front of the goal. 

Lorenzo Lucca (Udinese)

The Italy international has started the new season in brilliant form for Udinese scoring three goals already in the starting seven games. Lucca is a tall physical striker who is excellent in holding up the play and helps the team by winning aerial duels. Still 24 years old, he looks like a long-term option for Udinese if he can keep scoring goals consistently.

He was also rewarded for his excellent performances this season by Luciano Spalletti who gave him his first call-up to the Italy national team and even given the chance to make his debut against Israel.
