In the second match week of the Saudi Pro League, seventh-placed Al Khaleej will take on 12th-placed Al-Shabab. The fixture will be held at the Prince Mohammad bin Fahd Stadium, where the anticipation for Al Khaleej’s arrival is high. The hosts will look to build on their positive start to the season, while Al-Shabab will be eager to secure their first points after a tough opening match.
Al-Khaleej, currently positioned 7th in the Saudi Pro League table, started their campaign with a win over Damac in their opening fixture. A decisive own goal by Dhari Al Anari secured all three points. In their next match, they will face a strong opponent in Al Shabab, who are eager to secure their first victory or earn their initial points of the season.
Al Khaleej will benefit from home advantage as they play at the Prince Mohammed bin Fahad Stadium, which could provide a significant boost in their effort to continue their winning momentum.
Al-Shabab FC, currently 12th in the Saudi Pro League table, suffered a narrow defeat to Al-Ettifaq in their opening fixture, with Moussa Dembélé’s goal ensuring Al-Shabab left the pitch empty-handed. Despite having strong statistics and being a top team, they were unable to secure points in their first match. Al-Shabab will be eager to bounce back quickly and not dwell on their previous setback.
They will look to secure their first points of the season with a win over Al Khaleej. Key players such as Giacomo Bonaventura, Kamara and Fahad Al-Muwallad will need to step up and deliver strong performances to help the visitors achieve a vital victory and get their campaign back on track.
