Garnacho last played for the Red Devils on 30 May in a hybrid friendly against Hong Kong.

Manchester United have reportedly received several proposals from foreign teams for Alejandro Garnacho, but the winger is reportedly waiting for an offer from Chelsea. Garnacho, who spent the whole preseason away from Ruben Amorim’s team, is one of the players likely to depart United this summer.

The 21-year-old has already turned down a proposal from Al-Nassr, a Saudi Pro League team. It would have allowed him to partner with United legend Cristiano Ronaldo. It is thought that he has set Stamford Bridge as his ideal destination and is prioritising staying in the Premier League.

Garnacho wants the Chelsea move

Fabrizio Romano claims that Garnacho was eager to finalise a transfer in January and now wants to join Chelsea this summer.

Later in August, when United might be under more pressure to cash in on individuals surplus to needs, the Blues are reportedly considering a proposal that they intend to submit.

Garnacho has been the target of several foreign bids, Romano further confirmed. He is, nevertheless, waiting for Chelsea to act before the deadline.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea have already investigated Garnacho’s background in order to learn more about his mentality and temperament.

Although he is said to have cleared those tests, the Blues coach Enzo Maresca is now concentrating on a deal for Xavi Simons, an offensive midfielder for RB Leipzig.

If United were to recruit Simons’ teammate Benjamin Sesko before Newcastle United, they would need to increase their revenue from player sales.

More teams are waiting to make last-minute moves for other fringe United players

It looks like other teams are following Chelsea’s lead and waiting to make a late move, too. They are interested in the likes of Tyrell Malacia, Jadon Sancho, and Antony, who are also outcasts.

But in a last-minute panic, Amorim has made it plain to clubs interested in his “bomb squad” that United will not consider lowball offers.
