Alexander Isak 'happy and proud' after Liverpool transfer

The Reds broke the British transfer record to sign Isak.
According to Alexander Isak, the “full picture” of his transfer from Newcastle United to Liverpool is not fully known.
Isak joined the Reds for a British record £125 million ($170 million) on transfer deadline day after a protracted struggle with Newcastle to allow him to leave.
He did not play for Eddie Howe’s team during the preseason. He issued a statement in August claiming that Newcastle had betrayed his confidence and that commitments had been broken.
Isak reflects on his move to Liverpool

Isak stated that people do not have the complete story of his transfer. He said it while he was on an international break with Sweden this week.
“Not everyone has the full picture, but that’s something for another day,” Isak told Swedish media.
“That’s part of football. I can’t control everything that is said or written but I’m glad I became a Liverpool player. That’s what I wanted and I’m happy about that.
“There is a lot to discuss, and it can be discussed for a long time. It has been educational, and I’m happy with the final result.
“I’m happy and proud to be a Liverpool player. I don’t want to go into details or talk about that situation too much. It is a closed chapter, but I have never had any problems.”
As he battled for the transfer to Liverpool throughout the summer, the Sweden international transformed from a hero at St. James’ Park to a villain.
In their own statement, Newcastle refuted the claims and alluded to Isak’s lack of professionalism as the cause of the altercation. With a direct 37-word statement, the club said goodbye after Liverpool paid the fee.
Isak missed Newcastle’s summer preseason tour and hardly trained. As of now, he is not fit for matches. He is therefore extremely unlikely to start Liverpool’s match against Burnley in the Premier League this weekend.
