Alexander Isak tells Newcastle United he's considering summer exit: Report

Alexander Isak has informed Newcastle United that he wants to explore a move away from the club, with Liverpool and other Premier League clubs interested in signing the striker.

The Sweden international has also been left out of the club’s pre-season tour to Singapore and South Korea. He also didn’t play in Newcastle United’s friendly game against Celtic.

According to the Daily Mail, the report states that the 25-year-old wants to try a fresh challenge in his career, though his representatives haven’t commented on this matter. Meanwhile, the Reds are keen on further reinforcements despite signing Hugo Ekitike.

Which club will match Isak’s valuation by Newcastle?

The club board and head coach Eddie Howe prefer not to entertain any offers and are interested in negotiating fresh terms with the player.

The ball is the club’s court as they are in a strong position contractually, though an offer from Liverpool or any other club at around £150million could see the talks pick up pace in up upcoming weeks.

Ever since joining Tyneside, Alexander Isak has grown into one of the top centre-forwards and has recorded 62 goals in 109 matches for the Premier League club.

His growing status in the league has attracted top clubs, with some willing to break the British transfer record once again-just a month after Liverpool paid £116m for Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen last month.

The former Real Sociedad player was a cornerstone of Newcastle United’s push for UEFA Champions League qualification last season. But it appears the forward wants to embrace new challenges in his career and is hoping to join a top side, where he can further cement his reputation.

However, for now, it remains to be seen which clubs will be lining up for the talented striker. Surely there will be plenty of suitors to acquire his services, given his league experience and goalscoring prowess.
