Algeria predicted lineup vs Jordan for FIFA World Cup 2026

Algeria will be aiming to secure their first points of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Algeria head into their second Group J World Cup encounter with plenty to prove after suffering a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Argentina in their tournament opener. Vladimir Petković’s side struggled to cope with the South American giants. They now find themselves in a position where anything less than a victory against Jordan could seriously damage their hopes of reaching the knockout rounds.

Jordan are also searching for their first points after falling to a 3-1 defeat against Austria. It makes this one of the most important fixtures in the group.

Algeria will look towards a squad packed with experienced internationals and attacking talent as they seek a response. With players such as Riyad Mahrez, Houssem Aouar and Amine Gouiri expected to feature, the North African side possess the quality required to turn their campaign around.

Who all will be expected to be in the starting lineup?

Goalkeeper Luca Zidane occupies the goalkeeping position and brings composure in possession alongside strong reflexes between the posts. The shot-stopper will be keen to help Algeria register their first clean sheet of the tournament after a difficult opening match against Argentina.
