Arsenal's all transfers completed so far in 2024-25
The Gunners are looking to finally win the Premier League title in the upcoming season.
Premier League giants Arsenal have already kicked off their pre-season tour in the United States this summer in order to prepare for the upcoming 2024–25 season.
In the last two campaigns, Arsenal have narrowly missed out on the Premier League title to eventual champions Manchester City. In order to finally claim some silverware, the Arsenal hierarchy led by Sporting Director Edú Gaspar are actively looking to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s squad this summer with world-class signings.
The Gunners have already completed two incredible pieces of business so far in the transfer window: David Raya from Brentford & Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna.
After spending the last season on loan at Arsenal, the North London side completed the permanent signing of David Raya from Brentford this summer. In his debut campaign at the club, Raya cemented himself as the number one choice in goal. The 28-year-old goalkeeper made 41 appearances across all competitions, registering an impressive 20 clean sheets in the process.
Owing to his stellar performances, Raya was the recipient of the 2023-24 Premier League Golden Glove award. He was also a part of Spain’s Euro 2024-winning squad.
The latest addition to Arsenal’s imperious defence was Riccardo Calafiori, who joined from Bologna on a five-year deal. Last season, Calafiori enjoyed a breakout campaign at the Italian outfit as he registered 37 appearances across all competitions, recording an impressive two goals and five assists in the process. His rock-solid defensive displays guided the club to an incredible fifth-place finish in Serie A, securing Champions League football for the upcoming season.
The 22-year-old versatile defender was also one of the standout performers for Italy during Euro 2024, making three appearances while also registering an assist to his name.
On the other hand, Arsenal are yet to generate additional funds from outgoing transfers in order to comply with the stringent Profit and Sustainability Rules of the Premier League.
In terms of loan deals, left-back Nuno Tavares and midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga have been loaned out to Lazio and Sevilla respectively for the upcoming season.
Talented shot-stopper Arthur Okonkwo has departed the club as a free agent on the expiration of his contract and has joined League One side Wrexham on a three-year deal.
The experienced duo of right-back Cédric Soares and defensive midfielder Mohamed Elneny have also left Arsenal this summer as free agents on the expiration of their respective contracts. Elneny has found a new home as he joins Al Jazira Club.
With Arsenal looking to potentially challenge for multiple trophies in the upcoming season, more incomings and outgoings are expected in the remainder of the summer transfer window.
