Arsenal will face Bayern Munich in the midweek

Bukayo Saka hopes to be ready for Saturday’s Arsenal vs Brighton match. The winger’s muscular problem kept him out of the Gunners’ 2-0 victory against Luton on Wednesday.

Saka had been practising in the lead-up to the match, but his lack of fitness kept him out of the starting lineup. Saka’s fitness will be decided upon following Arsenal’s scheduled training session on Friday afternoon.

This month, Arsenal will play eight games in all competitions, and Arteta knows he needs to manage his team throughout this hectic schedule.

For the victory over Luton, he made five adjustments to his initial lineup; however, the starting lineup against Brighton is probably going to be more recognisable.

Gabriel Martinelli ought to regain his position on the left wing, while Declan Rice is anticipated to make a comeback to the middle.Three days before the match on the southern coast, Arsenal hosts the German champions in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal matchup against Bayern Munich.

By rotating his side, Mikel Arteta allowed Declan Rice, Jorginho, Jakub Kiwior, Gabriels Martinelli, and Gabriel Jesus to have a break. Even the latter three, who have fluctuated in and out of the team this season owing to form and injuries, will be hoping to gain something from their extended absences.

Emile Smith Rowe and Martin Odegaard both put in outstanding performances in the interim. Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber were the only two absentees from the match, as Arsenal is getting closer to fielding a full-playing squad for the first time this year.

Brighton are a more formidable opponent than Luton. Approximately at this same point in the previous campaign, Brighton defeated Arsenal. Since the team is better this time, Arteta will be hoping to have SakaArteta will try his hardest to start against Brighton this weekend, but he will also have this week’s Champions League quarterfinal matchup with Bayern Munich. Naturally, he will want to start Bukayo Saka, but Arsenal supporters might prefer that he sit on the bench and just come on when called upon.
