The Five Stripes take on cross-conference opponents Houston Dynamo.
Atlanta United FC will host Houston Dynamo FC at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday in an important cross-conference match in the MLS.
Atlanta United are sitting 13th in the Eastern Conference with 16 points. They have struggled lately, winning only one of their last 11 league games. Despite this, they are just three points behind Nashville SC, who hold the final playoff spot.
Houston Dynamo FC, seventh in the Western Conference with 22 points, have also been inconsistent, winning only two of their last nine league matches. Although they have scored just 18 goals, they have one of the better defences in the league. Additionally, matches between Houston and Atlanta have historically been high-scoring, so an exciting game is expected.
