Barcelona and PSG have met in numerous UEFA Champions League matches and is one of the biggest rivalries in the world of football.

The two teams are one of the biggest clubs in their nation. They have performed well in Europe. Barcelona have won the Champions League five times, while Paris St. Germain have not won this competition.

In the recent past, both clubs have played some exciting matches. Barcelona’s 6-1 win over the French side in the 2016-17 edition is one of the best matches that is ever played in football history. PSG were 4-0 up after the first leg and were one step away from the quarters. Lionel Messi & Co. had some other ideas and turned the tie.

The Spanish side has the upper hand in this rivalry. Paris are not behind Barca and have given them plenty of competition in the recent past.

These two sides first met in 1995 in the Champions League in the quarter-final match. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. The French side won the reverse fixture and took the charge of the tie.

They next played the Cup Winners’ Cup Final in May 1997. Barcelona took revenge by winning the match 1-0. Both sides have met in the quarters and not in the semis and final of the Champions League.

Barcelona and PSG recently played in the 2023-24 edition. Xavi’s youngsters gave a solid performance and won the match 3-2 away from home. They will play the decisive second leg in Spain.
