Bayern Munich in talks with Jamal Musiala over contract extension
The German youngster turned down Bayern’s initial contract
In spite of potential interest from Manchester City and Liverpool, Bayern Munich are eager to get the youngster Jamal Musiala to a new deal, according to Sport.
The 21-year-old’s contract with the German champions runs until 2026, but the source claims that the Bavarian team is eager to extend it in order to ward off interest from other teams.
This season, Musiala has been an excellent player for Bayern, recording 12 goals and seven assists across all competitions. Nevertheless, he has drawn interest from a number of elite European teams, therefore Bayern is keen to extend an improved contract offer to the Germany international.
Due to Mohamed Salah’s attraction to Saudi Arabian teams, Liverpool may be forced to split ways with the 31-year-old this summer. As a result, the Reds will need to find a substitute for Salah. In the meantime, Manchester City might just be one of the few Premier League teams with the financial means to persuade Bayern to let go of Musiala. With two years remaining on his contract, Bayern will probably ask for a high price for the former Chelsea young player.
Musiala, who plays attacking for both Bayern Munich and the German national team, has become one of the most promising players in European football. He is a vital member of Bayern Munich’s offensive line thanks to his ability to go past defences and greatly enhance his team’s offensive output.

The fact that the team is keen to lock him down for the foreseeable future shows how important he is to the group and their future goals.
Jamal Musiala, though, is rumoured to have rejected a new contract offer from Bayern Munich in order to pursue a summer transfer to the Premier League.Since making his first-team debut at Bayern in 2020, the 21-year-old has solidified his status as one of the world’s most gifted football players, making him a highly sought-after player.
Musiala notified Bayern that he may pursue an escape this summer if he does not accept the club’s latest offer of £150,000 per week.
The young player was once signed by Chelsea, from 2011 to 2019, however he departed the team at the age of 16 to sign with Bayern. Mauricio Pochettino’s team would probably have to pay more than £80 million to be linked with their once-academy potential, so this decision has proven to be expensive.
