Bernardo Silva has been linked with a move to Barcelona

Joao Felix, an attacker for Barcelona on loan, has pleaded with the Blaugrana to sign Bernardo Silva this summer, stating that he would buy the Manchester City midfielder without any hesitation if he were in charge of sports decisions.

In recent weeks, amid reports about Xavi’s continued status at Barcelona, there have been rumours that Barcelona may pursue Bernardo’s signature for a third consecutive summer.Talking in the setting, Felix discussed the transfer with Gerard Romero, stating that the Man City midfielder inquired about the team’s culture.

“Bring Bernardo Silva, bring him. He is very good and even better as a person,” said Felix.

“He asks me about Barcelona, he has family here. He asks me how things are here. I told him that everything was fine for him to come.”

If I were Deco for a day I would sign Bernardo Silva, without a doubt,” he added.

We revealed earlier today that Bernardo Silva may be considering a move to Barcelona as he nears the end of his current stint at Manchester City.

Due to Financial Fair Play restrictions, Barcelona’s precarious financial circumstances forced them to pull out of the Bernardo agreement last summer. He ultimately decided to extend his contract as a result. It’s interesting to note that Bernardo secured a very advantageous termination clause for Barcelona—roughly €58 million—in that contract renewal. Now that the club’s administration is concentrating on persuading Xavi to stay, the focus has once more shifted to Bernardo Silva.

Considering how intrigued Bernardo seems to be with his discussion with Felix regarding Barcelona, one could argue that the Blaugrana have a chance to sign the Portugal international, which would help the team’s efforts to hold onto Xavi.

Felix added in the Jijantes interview that he hoped Xavi would change his mind about leaving the team, calling him a “good, young manager, with lots of good ideas” and emphasising how “well-loved by the people of Barcelona” he was.
