Gvardiol burst onto the scene in 2022 and was a breakout star in that year’s World Cup. His amazing rise secured him a move to the Premier League when Manchester City decided to pay 90 million euros for him. Real Madrid had a defensive crisis last season as they lost Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militão, and David Alaba due to ACL injury.
