LOSC Lille, unlike Dortmund, did enjoy some time off after finishing the 2024-25 season with a 2-1 win in Ligue 1 against Stade de Reims. Post a two-month time away from football battles with other teams, they returned in a pre-season outing against the trending team of Como 1907.

With a 3-2 loss, they began their preseason. Next up for them is an even harder challenge on paper: the Bundesliga giants Dortmund. Fans will have to wait and see how things pan out for them ahead of two more friendly fixtures against Venezia and West Ham.
