The most prominent player for Bosnia & Herzegovina will be Edin Džeko. He is also set to captain the side in the 2026 campaign. At the age of 40, he is the nation’s all-time top scorer and also the 5th-oldest player at the tournament.

Sergej Barbarez, Bosnia & Herzegovina’s former captain and striker, will lead the side as a coach for the first time in a major tournament. He impressively guided the side through a dramatic qualification campaign. They defeated heavyweights Italy in penalties in the UEFA Qualification playoff.
