The Brazil national football team are now gearing up for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Their final 26-man squad has been unveiled, and some star players are included.
A Selecao underperformed during the World Cup qualifiers, but managed to qualify for the mega competition. Led by Carlo Ancelotti, they still need a lot of work to do if they want to put up a strong fight at the biggest stage of football.
The Brazil national football team have lifted FIFA’s flagship trophy on record five occasions (1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002). They will now be looking to add a sixth one to their tally. Stars like Neymar, Vini Jr., Raphinha and Matheus Cunha are going to play an important role in the attacking front.
To control the midfield, they have Casemiro, Éderson, Bruno Guimaraes, Fabinho, Lucas Paqueta and Danilo Santos. Even though they do not have the strongest defence at the moment, names like Marquinhos, Roger Ibañez, and Gabriel Magalhaes will make a good defensive wall.
Alisson, Ederson and Weverton are the goalkeepers opted by Brazil’s head coach.
