BREAKING: Brazil's Raphinha RULED OUT of FIFA World Cup 2026 - Report

Raphinha has earned 41 caps for Brazil.

Raphinha has been one of the key players for Brazil in recent years. Under Carlo Ancelotti’s system, the 29-year-old has also become a starter.

Selecao started their FIFA World Cup campaign against Morocco last week. Courtesy of Vinicius Jr’s goal, the five-time champions played a 1-1 draw against the last edition’s semi-finalists. In the second game, they faced Haiti.

Going into the game, Brazil were leading Haiti 3-0 in the all-time head-to-head record. Interestingly, Selecao also made the scoreline look the same. However, a concerning moment in the match came in the 40th minute, when Raphinha was forced off the field.

And as of now, things are not looking good for the 29-year-old.

Raphinha could be ruled out for the remainder of the FIFA World Cup

Brazil have suffered a huge blow to their World Cup campaign as Raphinha could be ruled out of the summer competition, a new report suggests. The Barcelona attacker has suffered a new injury to his right thigh. He already had issues in his right thigh, which created problems for him even during his time at Barcelona.

Due to the new injury concern, the Brazilian forward is likely to be ruled out of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Raphinha underwent tests on Saturday morning after being forced off during the Seleção’s 3-0 win over Haiti in their second game of the group stage. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) are yet to release an official diagnosis on the former Leeds United star’s injury.

However, according to Gazeta Esportiva, the Barcelona attacker could also remain part of the Brazilian team in North Carolina. In the last year, Raphinha has suffered four injuries in the same area. Additionally, he was substituted early by Carlo Ancelotti against Haiti.

In case Raphinha gets ruled out of the whole tournament, the five-time champions won’t be able to call up a replacement from outside their original 26-man list. The deadline for roster changes passed 24 hours prior to their opening fixture against Morocco.
