Dorival Junior’s men will face Venezuela and Uruguay this month.
Brazil national football team will be taking on Venezuela and later Uruguay this month. Head coach Dorival Junior has had his say and has picked his 23 men for the November international break. The squad list however didn’t see the return of Neymar.
The all-time top scorer of Brazil was left out even though he has recovered and has regained full fitness after suffering an ACL injury in October of last year. Neymar has been out since the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier match against Uruguay on October 17, 2023. Fans were eager for their national hero to be back on the team, however, that has not been the case.
The Al Hilal star’s lack of game time has been the most vocal cause per coach Junior to leave him out. Real Madrid’s Endrick also hasn’t been picked. It may be of some surprise as the talented player can be a mouthful to watch when on the pitch.
The 2024 Ballon d’Or runner-up Vinicius Jr is back for the national team after missing out on the October break games due to a neck injury. In the goalkeeping department, Bento who plays in the Saudi Pro League for Al Nassr is one of the names in the team. Although expect Ederson to be in between the sticks for the games.
Former Real Madrid and Manchester City defender Danilo is one of the defenders chosen. From Real Madrid, Éder Militão is one big guy in the team as well. Amidst ongoing controversies, West Ham’s Lucas Paquetá still has been called up. Barcelona star Raphinha, who is on fire at club level, also is part of the squad.
