Brazil and Haiti are both keen on recording their first win in the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Brazil are set to lock horns against Haiti in the second match of their FIFA World Cup campaign. Both sides are drawn in Group C alongside Morocco and Scotland.

Seleção faced Morocco in their first game. The five-time champions were expected to kickstart their campaign on a dominant note under Carlo Ancelotti; however, they were held to a 1-1 draw by the last edition’s semi-finalists.

On the other hand, Haiti gave a decent performance against Steve Clarke’s Scotland but conceded a goal that proved to be the difference between the two sides. Haiti lost the match 1-0, courtesy of a goal from John McGinn.

A win here becomes important for both teams. A loss for Haiti will certainly guide them out of the ongoing summer competition. Meanwhile, if Selecao loses, their chances of going deeper in the campaign will become slim.

Unlike at most stadiums where matches are being played at the FIFA World Cup, players will get a more forgiving surface with a natural bounce in Philadelphia. Because the surface has natural grass, it is also affected by the weather.

Due to the high temperatures in the US currently, the pitch at Lincoln Financial Field could be a bit sluggish, forcing teams to rely heavily on structured buildup. The pitch is expected to reward build-ups over fast-paced movements and counterattacks.

Selecao will also have the opportunity to play on a different surface from the one they played on during their 1-1 draw against Morocco. They faced Morocco at the New York-New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, which offers a synthetic surface.
